Value Savings of $690 with Every Easy-to-Build Plan
Material Take-off / Ultimate Estimate Included
With your plans you’ll receive the “Material Take-off,” or Ultimate
Estimate (a builder’s material and time estimate for building the plan), a
$345 value. In addition to the complete take-off of materials, we will also
include free upgrades for millwork, kitchen cabinets, plumbing, lighting
fixtures, and masonry. This complete package will be sent to your local Lowe’s
store, and a representative will contact you with a price quote for the
materials. If you buy a minimum of $5,000 in merchandise from Lowe’s, you will
be eligible to receive a $345 Lowe’s gift card. The included Material Take-off
and the Lowe’s gift card comprise the “Value Savings” of $690. This offer
cannot be combined with any other offer.
Save an Additional $500 — The Lowe’s Advantage
You can ALSO save 10% (up to $500) off your first building materials purchase
from Lowe's. You will receive details on this program with your order. This
offer is good for a single purchase of any in-stock or Special Order
merchandise (maximum discount $500) over and above or separate from the
purchase required for the Lowe’s gift card mentioned above. Not valid on
previous sales; service or installation fees; the purchase of gift cards; or
any products by Fisher & Paykel, Electrolux, John Deere, or Weber.
Easy-to-Build, Expandable Home Plans
You’ll appreciate the easy-to-build standard frame construction of these
single-story “starter” homes and two-story “move-up” homes and the smart
thinking behind them.
-
All plans have been designed to use a single plate height and dimensional
lumber without the use of trusses. This makes them easier and less expensive to
build than many other starter and move-up homes.
-
Three foundations are included to suit your lot and local site conditions: slab
on grade, crawl space, and full basement.
-
Perhaps most importantly, as a cost-saving measure, each one-story house has
been structurally designed in advance to accommodate a future second-floor
addition, if you choose to build one, with no alterations to the basic
supporting structure required. Building "up" instead of building "out" is
the least expensive way to expand your home. The basement girders and
first-floor headers have been engineered to carry the additional load, and the
ceiling is designed to be the future second-story floor system. You can
purchase the one-story plan, and then purchase the second-story addition later.
Or you can buy the two-story plan at the start.
-
Any of these affordable plans can be built with all the national brands you’ll
find at Lowe’s. That’s everything you need, from framing lumber to siding and
from flooring to paint.
3-D Framer’s Walk-Through
Step-by-step 3-D framing instructions from foundation sill plate to roof
sheathing are available for all plans in this collection at a cost of $545.
This plan-specific “slide show” will be delivered in PDF format for easy
viewing. The 3-D framer’s walk-through enables you to “virtually tour” your
dream house in the framing stage of construction. This is a valuable tool when
framing the home, and it can save you time and money. It will show you stud
lengths, plate heights, header size and location, plus girder size and
location.
The Starter Home—Small and “Easy to Build.” Each one-story house has been
structurally designed in advance to accommodate a future second-floor addition.
When you are ready to expand, purchase the Second Story Addition Plan. No
alterations to the basic supporting structure are required. The basement
girders and first-floor headers have been engineered to carry the additional
load, and the ceiling is designed to be the future second-story floor system.
Two-story version of the home. You can purchase the one-story plan, and then
purchase the second-story addition later. Or you can buy the two-story plan at
the start.
